Traditionally, Lock and Slide olivettes featured a line curved around the outside of the bomb-shaped weight, lacking a central hole. However, this configuration posed some challenges. Under tension, the line would stretch straight and potentially dislodge the silicone from the spikes, and during intense battles with powerful carp, the olivette could even pop off. To address these issues, we developed a new hybrid design with a strategically placed hole just off the center, avoiding the central spikes. This hole is lined with silicone, preventing any damage to the line while ensuring a secure fit.
