The Gardner Dark Incizor is a highly versatile hook pattern suitable for use with various hooklink materials. Its straight eye design makes it compatible with stiff hooklink materials like “Trip Wire” for Chod rigs and Hinged Stiff rigs. In the Covert Dark range upgrade, the Incizor features a longer, tapered, and sharper point.
This Covert Dark version maintains a dark matt finish for excellent camouflage while keeping the hook points exceptionally sharp and pristine. Covert Dark plating is a single electroplated layer, minimizing handling during finishing to preserve sharpness.
The new long, tapered points offer improved penetration and quicker hook sets. Gardner has also introduced a micro barb on all Covert Dark Hooks, which is not only kinder to fish but also enhances hook strength by conserving wire.
The Incizor has always been known for its exceptional hook holds due to its medium-length shank and in-turned straight point, ensuring optimal penetration angles. The straight eye design makes it ideal for use with Fluorocarbon hooklinks, as it avoids creating weak spots. Adding a small shrink tube kicker or Covert Hook Aligner makes it suitable for braided and skinned hooklinks as well.
